When was the last time you went out for a cinema? Turns out that 3 more days is National Film Day in Indonesia! 

Below you may find current engaging events! But have you ever thought of going to a cinema which outside malls? Perhaps you can visit Bioskop Metropole right away! 

A cinema built right on the corner between Pegangsaan and Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta which is also suitable for all culinary enthusiasts because you can stop by nearby food stalls on the area such as Sabang and Pecenongan which are mostly rated as a-worth-to-try foods! Besides XXI Garden Cafe that goes into cinema facilities, Ayam Bakar Megaria itself inside the complex of the cinema is also famous for its mouthwatering chicken. Besides that you might also want to try Pempek Megaria!

This building was named Bioscoop Metropool, according to Dutch spelling at that time. Until finally in 1951, it became the first movie theater in Jakarta and it was known as Bioskop Megaria. 

Afterwards, in 1989 the building was bought by 21 Cineplex cinema network, until the name was changed into Metropole, Metropole 21, 21 and now finally called Metropole XXI.

FILARTC or Film and Art Celebration is an activity that is carried out in order to welcome the National Film Day. FILARTC committee in 2015 came from the community element of Indonesian films, among others, film producer, director, artist, writer and script, director of photography, soundtrack maker, art director, IKJ alumni, community and volunteer workers of other films that have a vision to help the development of Indonesian films .

This activity is expected to be a milestone for the Indonesian film as an important element of the development of Indonesian art and culture in general, including in Jakarta. The concept of the event that carried the Film and Art Celebration, which is also featured in the film elements such as theater, music, makeup, costume design, posters, workshops, etc. to visitors at no charge at all.
